Just West of Salvador is the national park Chapada Diamantina, where I hooked up with "Extreme EcoAdventure" for a 3day trek. The first day we made a short trek to a waterfall and made camp alongside it. The next morning I was up bright and early with sunrise, thinking we would be setting off before it got to warm, but still at 10am we were lulling around having breakfast.
We had packed up our sleeping bags and tents and were ready to head off and then we found out that day 2 would be, walking up a river in flipflops to Mixila Waterfall. At this point we renamed our tour company "Extreme Chillout" and had a nice day out at the spectacular falls at the end of the canyon.
We came back to the camp at the end of the day, no need to move the tent, for some more chillout time by the waterfall with the guitar.
On the final day we made a 13km trek back to Lençois, in the Extreme heat and managed to run out of water too. Oops. After these 3 arduous days in the wilderness, there was only one sensible option to take. Yep. Back to the beach...

Not sure about your new layout. Best viewed by turning the monitor on it's side. Do Bloggspot know something we don't about the future of widescreen?
